The pre-order bonus for Hitman: Absolution has been confirmed as a one level game but Luke Valentine, from IO Interactive, claims that the game has plenty to offer gamers.
Hitman is one of gaming’s most iconic characters and franchises with Agent 47 known by many as a precise cold-blooded killer who, unlike in the movie, has no love interest apart from his razor wire.
In an effort to create even more hype for the November 20th release for the game, the game’s publisher is offering, Hitman: Sniper Challenge as a free download. The mini-game consists of a single level with Agent 47 picking away at targets.
Only available for those who pre-order the game at the moment, and that too on starting from next week on the PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE, before a Steam release in August, Sniper Challenge, those who play the game will be able to carry a special something
over to Absolution.
Luke Valentine, from IO Interactive, elaborated when he said, "The agency sniper rifle that you use in the Sniper Challenge is a weapon that you immediately carry over to Hitman: Absolution as soon as you play it. Based on your progress, over time you accumulate
more points and as you go through thresholds of different points you'll unlock upgrades.”
Many gamers are slightly concerned over the fact that the Sniper Challenge is only one level and although the developer admits that the single level may be off putting for some, but it will also have plenty of depth and replayabilty.
He said, "Sniper Challenge is a one level experience. One way of looking at it is that it's a 15 minute game and that's it, but what people will discover when they play it is that it's so rich, and so full of replay value that you can spend a considerable
amount of time playing it."
Yet what does the reader think; is Hitman: Sniper Challenge worth downloading, is the mini-game something you are looking forward to or would they rather have something else offered as a pre-order bonus? Let us know in the comments section below.
