  1. when u hit the ball from underneath with one hand to make it go over its a lift, when u tip if from underneath the ball its a lift,

u never ever can hit with 2 hands tho u can set it over.

  2. The referees are told to look for control issues.

If you control the ball too much, it is called as a lift.  That can be called for one hand or two hands.

If you control the ball too little, it is called a double hit.  This is usually called on two handed hits.  I did see a referee call a double hit on a one handed play last weekend.  The player tipped the ball with one hand and she realized it was going to be short and she hit it again.

  3. its called carrying..its when u don't actually hit it u like push it...yeah thats a no no,  you contact with the ball needs to be quick and crisp

  4. the only time it is a penalty to hit with one hand is if you are below your head. i am talking about spiking hitting here... if you try to set a ball that is below your head this will be called a cary, lift, or push depending on what exactly you do with the ball...

  5. if you carry it with one hands or two, it's a penalty. with 2 hands u can also get called on a double hit.  hope i helped

  6. i agree with the other answers...

but its also illegal for a libero (the defensive specialist with a different colored jersey) to hit above the plane of the net. basically....she cant jump really high. and she cant jump in front of the ten foot line.

oh and you cant carry the ball with one hand....or two....basically you cant throw the ball. but that's kinda obvious.
