The former West Germany Olympian feels that the league race will definitely be over before it began if his former side defeat the defending champions in their next Bundesliga game
Former Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich team trainer Ottmar Hitzfeld claims if the Bavarian giants see off the reigning champions on the weekend then the Bundesliga race will be boring and the Munich side will wrap it up comfortably.
The 63-year-old has managed both sides in his club career, but spent two stints with Der FCB.
The top two clubs in Germany will take each other on at Bayern’s home ground Allianz Arena, and Die Roten will be hoping to extend their 11-point gap with their fierce rivals with a win. The BVB have moved down a place into 3rd
as they drew their last league outing with Fortuna Dusseldorf in mid-week.
The veteran coach stated that if the Borussians beat Bayern then they will be back in the title race, as FC Hollywood have shown in recent seasons that they can succumb under pressure. Moreover, the Black Yellows certainly have
the potential and class to get three points at the Allianz Arena.
"If Bayern win, the title is decided and the Bundesliga becomes boring. However, if Dortmund win, Bayern could stumble again and Dortmund definitely have the quality to beat Bayern. Bayern versus Dortmund has always been a real
classic, just like Real Madrid against Barcelona in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011," he mused.
"Marco Reus was a great transfer, probably even better than [Shinji] Kagawa. Dortmund are confident after their past games against Bayern and can beat them on a good day. Bayern have never been as hungry as they are now because
there has never been so much pressure on them,” he added.
Hitzfeld said that the fixture has always been the top match of the season in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 in the Spanish La Liga.
Furthermore, he suggested that summer signing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Shinji-Kagawa-c33364 who moved to Manchester United in the summer.
