his role at the end of the season.
Ferguson was the head coach of the Old Trafford outfit since 1986 and helped the English Premier League side win a number of medals domestic and in Europe. Hitzfeld claimed the Scotsman coached United for almost three decades and
most fans do not even know who the manager was before him.
"He worked so long for Manchester United, you do not even know who was there before him," he was quoted as saying in an interview.
As a result of this, Sir Alex is the face of United. He further added that the timing could not have been more perfect as they won the league comfortably. Now, he will move on to a directorial role at Manchester and still assist

"He is the club's face. The timing might have seemed perfect to him after United won the Premier League. He will surely stay in Manchester and be a representative for the club,” former Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund coach added.
The experienced boss has achieved numerous accolades and his successor will always be compared to him which is very tough for any new trainer.
"What he achieved is extraordinary and unique. His successor will automatically be measured on Ferguson's success. The new coach has to be successful from the start or else it will be difficult for him," he stated.
