This is my first year of college, I'm MALE 18 110 pounds and 5'7 with shoes on...5'4 without shoes on.

Heres my pic : http://img60.imageshack.us/img60/6682/pi...

I've always had an eating problem...Often skip breakfast and sometimes lunch...I have a iron deficiency iron promotes appetite. I was wondering if this could be why I look so young?...

I haven't aged a bit since the 8th grade...physically. I feel so out of place at college and...everywhere. I'm just sick of getting the kids menu, getting called "hun", "did your parents drive you?" I just want to look my age desperetely. I went to the doctors two days ago to ask my doctor, i'm going in this tuesday for blood work to be done. He said it could be something medical or it could just be me. He said my t******l development was "pretty" normal. I refuse to live life like this, I'm sick of it. My self-esteem has completely destroyed my social life, I'm just treated as a child everywhere I go. I act the exact opposite though.

I was wondering if anyone has been through/known someone with similar issues...thanks.

Oh and to those of you who say, you will enjoy it later, obviously have no idea what it feels like.

  3. Hey there, I know how you feel. I'm a 17 (almost 18) year old girl, 5'0" and I weigh about 113 lbs. I, like yourself, have always had an eating problem (skipping meals, thinking I'm fat) and I still do to this day. Even though I'm 17, I look like a 12 year old. Often people at my high school mistake me for being in middle school, or just think I'm a really small freshmen, even though I'm a senior! I hated it at one time just like you. Whenever I went out to restaurants, they would automatically count me under 12, and I'd get my meals cheaper (which still happens, but my parents don't complain, haha) and I always got the smaller cups, and the kids meals (of course, now I always make sure I get a normal menu and normal size drink). But once you learn that you really can't change what you are and accept it, then you'll be much happier. It seems I've become famous for my shortness and youth appearance. Everyone always tells me how "little and cute" I am, so I take it as a compliment. Just try to be happy with who you are :)

  4. Um.. start by eating breakfast. It's the most important meal of the day. Your body NEEDS it to run on.

Looking young is more about genetics than anything. I looked way younger than my age for a looong time. To the point where this time I had a job in the bar, people asked if I was old enough to be serving behind the counter!!

So don't sweat it. Yes, it's an inconvenience to carry I.D. with you everywhere; so it having to shave once a day.

    *shrug*

That's life. (I also used to get 'he's cute' as well. F-ing hilarious. Hated it, but one day I realised there was no point fighting).
