Hmm, home mailing business, is it legit?

I came across an advert ina newspaper, where they needed people to mail from home. The pay, after looking on their website, is £1.00- £1.20 per envelope filled and sent off. They supply envelopes and stamps and such and require you to do 100-500 per week.

Now this to me sounds easy, but i'm confused..

FIrst, they ask for a £30 membership fee..this seems odd? But as what they deliver to you is worth £800 or so in stamps and things, then i can understand.

Second, they pay cash on delivery. say a lump sum of £200 to £500 a week delivered when your next batch comes in.

Where do tax rules and things come into this, and are there laws against it. Will i have to declare these earnings on some sort of form and if so, which?

I am currently unemployed, taking a degree from home and not claiming anything. The money would be a welcome bonus for what seems like easy work.

The site is http://www.topstarmailshare.co.uk

Is this legal Or is it a scam, and i'll never see the £30 again?

  1. Legal ? as in would this break the UK Data Protection Act ?

Yes, plainly illegal .. they will be giving you the personal details (including addresses) of their customers ..

NB. You do know it's a SCAM don't you ??

They make you pay some fees up front and then say you are "not suitable" or there is "no work in your area" this week/month/year ...

... or worse they get you mailing off begging letters or other SPAM (Advanced Fee Frauds) and when the sh*t hits the fan guess whose front door will get kicked in by the Fraud Squad ?
