  1. GSXR 6. RIDE BOTH AND YOU'LL KNOW WHY. WOW

  2. CBR 600 RR definately

    Why-

I just bought 1 like 3 weeks ago... i tested every supersport bike from 2006 to 2008 except ninjas, I also tested the 07' and 08' GSXR 750. CBR is  faster than GSXR and R6, it has a smoother transmission, better clutch, better brakes (especially fronts), its like 20 lbs lighter than both R6 and GSXR. It also has a fuel guage (nice amenity for a sportbike). The bike does feel smaller than the other bkes in the 600 class including the triumph 675 (also small), but handles better and maneuvers easier than the other 600's. The CBR competes with GSXR 750's and ducati 749's and even the 848's in performance. The CBR is consistantly named the best overall supersport bike of the year by multiple magazines, press and online reviews, most for 2 years in a row. The exhaust is positioned nicely under your rear fender, both performance and aesthetic improvement from the others models. The bike looks beautiful... all clean, crisp, sharp lines. GSXR 600 and 750 in my opinion have weird lines and awkward rear fenders idk maybe its just me. Ive already put 3000 miles on mine and wouldn't trade it for anything. I almost bought an R6 but decided not to because of the exhaust system. the GSXR 600 has and electronically controlled engine modes for inexperienced riders utilizing less power to the wheels in three different modes... using these buttons is weird... the Honda doesn't offer modes for inexperienced riders though...hmmm

    Why not-

price *maybe* $9599 (i didnt pay full msrp you shouldn't either, talk them down to at least $8900 or leave, somewhere else will sell it for that or cheaper) other than that i cant find anything i dont like...

It is the most stolen bike on the current market (04-08)... wonder why?

  3. test em...find the one you like...its all personal preference...there people who obviously ride them so it all comes down to personal preference...as for the post above, just cause you own it, doesnt meen its the greatest thing in the world and that somebody else will love it...when you see comparison, you'll notice its by professionals who can nit pick at anything and when a winner ir is declared its by a small margin, meaning the quality of every bike built nowadays is superb and each bike has its strong points and low points. its up to you to find what you like about each and weigh them out.

  4. gsxr

  5. I can't speak for anything other than the CBR. I bought an '07 last year and I really like it. After sitting and trying out the other bikes available, it felt right to me for my leg length and size. I'm 5'9" and ~165lbs. It will come down to your best fit. Don't bother comparing stats and numbers so much as either way they'll be close, and you certainly will not be pushing it to it's limits every time you're on one (unless you have a death wish).

As far as the CBR, I enjoy it, it handles better than I'm prepared to take it, faster than I need it. I also suffer from an old neck fracture, couple of bulging discs, etc. and have not had any real pains or problems riding it.

That being said, I also have some fun on my wife's Ninja 250. It's peppy, easy as can be to manage and toss around, and still gets to the speed limit as quick as you'd need it to.

Try several, try models you wouldn't expect and engine sizes you normally wouldn't consider. Who knows, you might be suprised and decide you don't need as much as you're thinking you would.
