Yes, all of that was planned.  Additionally, in each performance during the opening ceremony, they only had 2008 performers per performance..no more no less at each time.

They are crazy about 8s.  

But I think this is the worst, most controversial olympic games ever.  They copied Greece in A LOT, and each host city's olympics is supposed to be great BUT unique.  come on China?  Copying and changing some small things around a bit is all you can do?  Oh, and changing their athletes' ages on their passports so that underage 12 year olds can compete in gymnastics and win?  They are dominating because they have given the inside info and tricks to the Chinese athletes..cons.

Oh, and did you hear about the girl during the opening ceremony who lip synched?  The girl whose voice the Chinese used was too "ugly and fat" and had "crooked teeth" to appear for the ceremony, Chinese officials said!  Come on! She's 7!!  The olympics are about showing the unity of the world yet showing how everyone is different around the world!  and they had to use a pretty skinny girl who does commercials to lip synch the "fat" girls' voice.  So sad.  On how bad does this make the Chinese look!!  Lost a lot of respect for them.

Did you know that u are wrong?

-The Olympics started at 8:08pm.

-The Chinese planned that all the stuff happened on "8" dates and times so for you to ask was it coincidence was not necessary.

-Another fact you left out was there were 8 torch bearers before the main torch was lit at the top of the stadium.
