Love fish don't talk but then either communicate by pheromones or they don't.

Hmmmm.......possibility. Fish have thier own type of communication. If they are afraid...they will either run (swim) or submitt..If they are top fish in the tank they let everyone know by giving a good push, shove, or blow to another.

I talk to my fish...but I'm still waiting for an answer..I just get looks that say ..."feed me".....

The croaking or talking Gouramis make a croaking noise during spawing or displaying for one another, or also when excited or afraid.  The female purrs during spawning.

The pectoral fins generate the sound rather than their mouth.

i dont think they do. they can tell if they are in danger.
