Question:

Hmmmmmmmmmm ...?

Not lookin' for sympathy.

A simple question about questions that would apply to all categories, posted here, because this is good as any, but I'll tailor the question to the rail category.

Scenario 1: A person asks a question in the rail category. People answer as best they can. Where necessary or indicated, they'll include a link to a website for someone to get a more detailed answer to the question.

Scenario 2: I am the schnook that tries to answer a question. I refer them to another site, accessable right here from anyone's profile page if they have a 360, for a more detailed answer. Space here is limited.

Results, scenario 1: No harm no foul. Follow the link.

Results, scenario 2: Since I referred them to my 360, I get a knuckle rap for "Solicitation."

I've never solicitied anyone for anything, unless it involved someone named "Bambi" and only then for a reasonable fee.

Why am I (or anyone else) restricted in an attempt to answer a question to best ability?

  1. It boggles the mind doesn't it Bob? One of the things about YA that amuses me the most is getting insight into how some people think. It scares me,but it is amusing! I too got a knuckle rap the other day. This people at this site reminds me of railroaders, some should be rocket scientists and some should be ground up for rocket fuel.

Now..as for Bambi i suggest you go two blocks down and talk to Angel.More bang for your buck(no pun intended) and she takes debit cards!

Sorry you got tagged by the trolls that infest this site.It wasn't meeeeeeee.I like your 360 page.I've spent quite a bit of time there reading it.Keep up the good work my friend!

  2. What is wrong with people, these days ??? Have they all become so PC, as to see - as Rob Muldoon PM of NZ said in the 1970s - " Communists under the Bedstead " ??  Are these dorks who complain, as stupid as they seem to look ??

To that twerp whom had the audacity to complain falsely, because you referred them to your 360:  I say .... stop being a complete and utter idiot !

What is wrong with a Referral to My 360 ?    I cannot, for the life of me, see anything absolutely wrong with what you had to do.

Obviously another example of PC stupidity.   And not a false case of "Solicitation."

    Grow up losers !

  3. You put a more detailed and personal touch to it...there are plenty of whiners and people that prefer punishment for a different opinion, or way of presenting facts...yep thats MY opinion anyway lol

  4. no sé-don´t know

  5. Well I had something like this, but someone flamed me for it, I am a Top Contributor in Computers, and usually since it is the usually the same question being asked, I have a bunch of word documents full of my answers for computers in where I have been choosen as best. So I usually refer to them. This one guy said I was refering to a link which I was not, and I was not plagarising or linking, I was just using an old answer. Still people just like using links just to get a best answer when they don't know the category. Sorry for ranting but it happens to all of us.

  6. I always said that you had the best railroad answers  . So don't worry about this, and keep it on the rails friend!

We all make mistakes, and if someone is mixed up because of the way you answered them then there the ones playing games. Best to you Bob.

  7. YA wants answers restricted to their site so they can keep everything under their control.

  8. Simple answer, there are some real a**holes out there and we all pay the price for it.

I have got a few violations for things that i thought were meaningless but I figured I'd let it go, not easy but I just consider the source.

Does Bambi have a sister?? She sounds familiar.

  9. I know what you mean bud, it's happened to me more times than I really care to count. If it weren't for all that mess, I would have reached level 7 a long time ago.

  10. Whoever reported you for solicitation sounds dumb.

I would suggest writing a paragraph answering the question in brief, and then provide the link if they want more info.

  11. I have an idea, how about the person, (coward), that reported you step forward and prepare to take a ride on the rails.

Personally, I think a little cruise through Klamath Falls, Oregon in February should do it.

Oh yeah, did I mention that they would get a Cab Ride?

    A CAB RIDE????

    GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDYYYYYYYY!

    Woo Hoo!!

Yep, strapped right to that Nathan P-5 Chime at 70 MPH!

If the horn at point blank does not cause heart failure, then the freezer will definately cool their booty off!

Besides, the person who did it, well all I can say is they need to fill out the special form from Union Pacifc Railroad.

    Form Number:  ID10-T

    Its their Looser Registration Form!
