If it's a new access point WEP should be disabled.

If your access point has WEP turned on and you've forgotten your WEP key, you'll need to re-enter it on the AP. There's two ways:

- connect to the LAN side of the AP and re-enter the WEP key using the AP's management page.

- reset the AP to clear the key. You can then connect from the wireless side and re-enter it as you would above.

NOTE: when you reset the AP you need to use the default username and password to get to the management page. This is printed on the AP or you can look it up online.

Once you reset the WEP key on the AP you will then need to enter it on your client (laptop.)

BUT, there is no way to read the WEP key out of the AP. They do that on purpose, for security reasons.

if u mean on the computer try looking on the box that connects u to your internet, it should be one of those 8 digit numbers.(im not sure if its 8 digits but its on there somewhere on your internet box) either that or try calling your internet company
