Ho Yen Mei, a spirited player from Malaysia, showed a great performance and reached into Girl’s Singles D2 semi-final after winning her quarter-final battle against Tew Jia Jia at Maybank National Circuit Kedah Open 2013 on Friday, May 31, in Malaysia.
The top seeded Yen Mei, who remained aggressive and unbeaten throughout the championship, maintained her focus in quarter-final clash and easily overpowered the un-seeded Tie Jia while taking just 20 minutes.
Yen Mei sailed smoothly on court as she played with impressive speed and precision. She did not let her rival to narrow the gap and eventually won the battle in a one-sided manner with a staggering margin of 21-11 and 21-10.
On the other hand, the lower ranked Tew Jia failed to stretch her winning run in the quarter-final clash. She could not cope up with the impressive skills of her in-form challenger and ultimately bowed down without getting a respectable total.
The in-form Yen Mei dominated the pace from the starting rallies as she played with impressive speed and took over the control quite easily.
The incredible speed and wonderful strategy helped Yen Mei to stay in complete command and she managed to push her rival on the back foot.

Yen Mei did not lose her control at any stage in the starting part of second game as she played with control and precision.
Until the one-minute break, the impressive Yen Mei remained consistent in playing with command and variations and remained ahead on score board.
The attacking and positive play in the ending half of second set assisted Yen Mei to grab the set with a lopsided 21-10 score on the board.
