  1. its kind of hard to explain, but flip the tiny little flaps on the sides. then slide them in the little buckle thing.

    haha that really didnt help

  2. Yeah this is kinda hard to answer.  But make sure you have the stirrup on the leather first.  Make sure you put the right stirrup on the side it is supposed to go(not all stirrups matter, but their are a few that matters what side they go one)  Then take the side of the leather that doesn't have the buckle(make sure the side with all the numbers is backwards at this point) and Underneath the saddle flap is a metal thing, make sure the metal is completely straight and that the end piece of the metal is not up, and slide the leather under the metal( this is the hardest part of it especially with new leathers).  Then pull out the leather and buckle it.  You don't have to worry about the length yet until you put it on the horse.  This took me a few times when  I first did this, so if you have trouble ask nearby riders to help you.

  3. http://www.fotosearch.com/photos-images/...   here are some pictures.   Make sure you have those little metal ends flipped up where you hang your stirrups under the flap.  If not they will come off.  If these photos don't help,  look under english saddle pictures or rigging an english saddle.  GOOD LUCK

  4. Put the stirrup on the leather, then lift the top flap on the side of the saddle. There should be a small iron bar underneath. You thread the stirrup through there. It might be a bit stiff but it is right. Make sure you thread it underneath, so that the buckle is on the top side. Pull it all the way through then fasten the buckle and its done.

  5. Here is a video on how to adjust stirrup leathers, so you can see how it is supposed to look:

Here is a not great picture of how to attach the stirrup leather:

Here is a pretty good description of how to get them on:
