Ho do i set the right tension for my DIY Rubik's Cube?

I looked up this video and tried it...but it doesn't work for me...so don't tell me to look up the video by some guy from youtube called "PestVic"...please help...it's really annoying when you try to speedcube and the pieces pop in your face but if i put it too tight it's hard to move it...

It's the cuber, not the cube...

When I first got my cube, I set it to the tightest tension, and it still pops like h**l. Back then, I averaged about 35 seconds.

Then, I went to a competition. I felt all the cubes of the super fast people who are sub-15 (Harris Chan, Rhodri Motivo, Michael Gottlieb, Jason Baum, etc...) Their cubes were so much looser! I popped like every other turn. But that day gave me the experience to turn more precisely. I got home and set my DIY at the loosest tension. I practiced for a few day, and I just stopped popping. Now I turn faster than ever, got sub-20 average, and almost never pop! Make sure to lube with CRC silicone spray to make it faster. If a cube gets stuck, it may pop.

Hey there!!!

I don't know if this helps, but...

You s***w the center to a point that you feel comfortable with and put the pieces (Edges and Corners, but do not put back the center cap) in and try to turn it, see if its okay for you! Try to do some tricks on the cube and see it "pops!"

If it pops, then go ahead a s***w it a little tighter! But not too tight! s***w the screws on the opposite sides. For example, if you s***w the front side, then s***w the back side next to make the pressure equal!

Try this a couple times! If it still pops, then there might not be another way that I know to help! Because every cube you buy might have a chance to "pop" if you play it too rough!
