How can I improve my SAT SCORES?

I got a 1930 on my sats.

720-math

630- critical reading

580 in writing

I did practice tests for three weeks leading up to the test. The problem is for my psats, I studied just strategies for 1 whole week and practiced very little, only managed to get a 183. So for my Sat, I did 1 practice test, every day for 3 weeks and I studied strategies, however, I only scored a 1930. I NEED ADVICE ON HOW TO STUDY FOR THIS TEST. CAN SOMEONE WHO HAS GOTTEN A 2100 OR ABOVE PLEASE TELL ME HOW LONG THEY STUDIED AND HOW? I have taken a test prep course in the past...

I want to score around at least a 2070, or above

  1. Well man i cant help you are just stupid. but you know some weed could help. try it

  2. since you scored low on writing, I think it is best to look over the subjects that the writing section teaches:

    subject-verb agreement

    parallelism

    double negatives

    idiom errors

    dangling or misplaced modifiers

    pronoun agreement

    wrong tense usage

    for the critical reading section:

read challenging books and whenever you come up with a word you do not know identify it with a picture or make flashcards, you could also try learning to recognize roots

    for the math section:

keep practicing with different types of problems and this seems like an easy section for you

do some sort of practice everyday, here are some websites to help you do that:

  3. well jesus, sounds like you've studied enough. Depending on the scores of your practice tests, this could've been a fluke. So just take it again, you still have 2 or 3 (i'm not sure) chances to take the test before the january 2009 application deadline, so good luck!
