mmk so my mom said i need to find a hobby that doesn't involve music of any type. piano, guitar singing...etc. the only problem is is i have never played sports (except soccer ad a child) and see sports as pointless. does anyone have any suggestions for a hobby that a 15 year old could do that is actually time consuming and fun and not expensive? no art please and reading doesn't work either. help?

  1. Fishing

  2. get a job

  3. rollerblading in groups of friends

  4. Organic gardening! It is inexpensive to grow things from seed and take your pick- you can grow anything from pumpkins to rare flowers..

  5. so why no music? i seriously question your parents shunning your interest in music... are they a failed musician them selves?

or know someone that had music lead them to bad things?

    cause thats really strange...

Graffitti?  oh wait no art .. AT ALL???

    thats really strange...

ride a bike? skateboard? dirt bike?  there ya go

dirt bike that **** all over your front lawn

until you can play piano again..

Most parents would love a kid that wants to learn piano.

    go figure.

  6. how about some woodworking/metalworking and make your own instruments

  7. aww i was gonna say guitar, why wont she let you play!

why dont you try swimming and volleyball, those are fun and you can find a free team to join and you can suck at it too but it wont matter!

what about drawing? Does shopping count as a hobby cuz i know thats mine! and im 15 too lol

  8. Go to a craftstore and look around, see if you like anything - you sound like someone who would make interesting jewelry. I'd recommend gardening too and always suggest volunteering, you get a lot out of it.

  9. i was gonna suggest drawing but you said no art. you named everything fun. IDK. collect something maybe? or knit? lmao i'm a teen too and i say the funnest are sports and music

  10. making bows and stuff to hunt and shoot at targets, skating, bike riding etc

  11. I like to knit, but the yarn and needles can be kinda expensive.

  12. um if your creative i'd say make an altered book. you can google it and yea you'll pretty much see what im talking about. or you can write, thats what i do...and lets see..

make stuff? i guess. idk, buy cheap clothes then decorate them and stuffs. paint, draw...make a collage....uh..get a job?

idk, theres a lot of stuff tho. like you can also take pictures or get out with your friends. um...you like music? write songs..or something..

  13. Riding horses if you love animals

    collect stuff

    Ride bikes

  14. babysitting or volunteering. uhm. crafting(don't know if that classifies as art) sewing or scrapbooking. jewelry making. writing.

i don't know what you like to do but take all of your interests and make something of them. i enjoy making things, all of my purses i make myself. browse around online for fun things to do. and sports aren't so bad.

  15. why don't you start a business of some kind like babysitting or maybe you could work at some place or a hobby could be swimming collecting stuff IDK  but sports are fun!!

  16. Wow...when I saw your question, the first thing that came to mind was music. The you said no music, and I started laughing. Anyways, one hobby you could get into could be photography. Most 15 year old girls that I know have digital cameras. You could start taking pictures all pretaining to one subject (animals, family, sports, television, musical artists) and begin scrapbooking. A scrapbook is not expensive, so dont worry. You can most likely get a good one at a very affordable price at stores such as AC Moore, or Target, or Walmart. Its  a great hobbie for a 15 year old girl because it will show your creative side.

Think about it for a second:

Lets say you choose to take pictures of the enviroment, and people. You go out for a few hours, get some fresh air, and snap photos of people at the park, or a squirrel in a tree. Its a great way to learn how to appreciate nature. Then, when you come home, you print out your photos, and arrange them in a creative way all throughout your scrapbook. You can show it off to your friends, family, and even take some time to look at the work you have done. You will learn to love it...I guarantee it. You just need to give it a chance, and dont quit on it.
