Music or art. it's hard being able to be "good" at both considering my studies etc etc

music: took piano lessons for years ,and played guitar since 15. i like to sing too, and write. i practise whenever i can. and like to read about music theory.

art: i am a design student. i love art and also try to draw whenever i can. always eager to learn more about how to draw (books) and want to start learning to paint.

i am a college student, and my couse (architecture) is demanding. so i can't do just do all of them.

also if you're interested in wrting songs/composing your own melodies, which is better to go with? piano or guitar?

  1. well, that's a hard one, on one hand music touches people with the songs ect.. but on the other hand art is something people see for a very long time too. i would work a little on both. do what you like to do. i know that it seems hard now but take time to do the things that you love and you will be happy. just work a little bit at time on each one but never give up one for the other. in your sparetime you could write/sing a song or two and then work with you artwork.

  2. If architecture is your vocation drawing is more in line with that.  Perhaps you can make that more of a priority and let music just be your way of relaxing.  As an architect your artisic skills will become part of your work.  Music can be a way of switching gears competely.  Pure indulgence.

  3. you know what .......... you can be a music composer in future

you have lots of talent same situation as mine but.... you have the right to choose your career.

  4. Definitely music in my opinion! It has so much to offer and it touches people!..piano is always a classic, stick with that!
