Hobb’s Dream dreaming for victory at Plumpton – Handicap Hurdle Preview
Hobb’s Dream is confident to translate another success dream into reality at Plumpton racecourse where she will run in Drive In Movie 18th August Handicap Hurdle on Monday, March 12.
The Neil Mulholland-trained brilliant mare seems to be quite ready to compete against eight rivals including Marble Walk, Honeycreeper, Knight Flight, Hazy Bay, Solaise Express, Well Mett, Gentleman Jimmy and Niceboy.
The Class 4 competition of 3m1f110y distance is scheduled to begin at 4:30 (GMT). The total prize money for the event is £2,669.
Since the dawn of 2012, Hobb’s Dream has been performing elegantly. After winning a big race at Taunton on January 31, the dashing mare went on to finish third in another mega contest on February 21.
The eight-year-old talented sprinter notched up top spot again in her last outing on March 9. These marvellous feats have perked up the confidence and courage of the mare.
At the moment, the maverick mare is awash with momentum which will surely help her achieve another milestone of her career at Plumpton.
Since making her debut in December 2008, Hobb’s Dream has been a consistent performer. Apart from victories, she has exhibited a number of excellent performances on different occasions.
If the mare manages to carry forward her winning form, she will definitely be able to perform and gain well today.
However, some of her competitors like Hazy Bay and Knight Flight look to be somewhat dangerous.
Hazy Bay is on a hat-trick. After bagging his maiden victory in February 2011, Michael Roberts’ bay gelding went on to win his very next race in the month of December. Thus, he will try to earn third straight success of his career in today’s event.
On the other hand, Knight Flight has delivered some impressive performances since making her debut in November 2011. The bay Mare finished second and third in her last two outings during January 2012. Thus, she is also likely to run daringly today.
In the situation, the Handicap Hurdle will be somewhat close competition. There will be tough tug of war between Hobb’s Dream and Hazy Bay for the top spot. Let us see who makes the breakthrough. Good luck to the duo.
