Hobo Spiders?

I'm having a major spider problem....I am killing about 10 spiders a day in different area's of my house and it's the same spider (meaning..they all look the same) I looked it up on the internet and I am pretty positive that it's a Hobo Spider. I read about them and they're poisonous. If I'm seeing so many each day does that mean there could be a nest somewhere???

  1. Where are you located?  The Hobo is not native to the US but has been introduced acidentally in some areas.  Outside those areas authorities need to be alerted so that the infestation can be dealt with where possible and antivenom made ready.

Thus authorities will first need to make a positive ID.

If you are from Great Britain then not really as much  problem since the spider is native and antivenom is already available.

  2. haha hobos! see, they are hobos,, they lived on the street no they need a new home....hobos hjahahahahah

  3. Send me a photo and I'll tell  you "exactly" what kind of spiders you have.

An egg case has probably hatched within your house and that's why so many, especially if they're the same species.

Try not to be so freaked out by the spiders.  99.99% of all spiders are harmless to humans.  There is no such thing as a Hobo Spider that is dangerous to human beings.  All spiders are venomous, but the venom of most of them can hardly even be felt by a person, even if the spider did bite them, which is very, very, very unlikely.

There are two spiders, and only two spiders, that are "actually" dangerous to humans, and even so, neither is lethal.  The Black Widow Spider and the Violin Spider (Brown Recluse).  If they are not either one of these, you've got no problem.

I can understand not wanting to have your house "overrun" by spiders, but keep one thing in mind:  Spiders do a great, great deal of good in helping to keep our planet healthy and strong, and helping us too, by ridding us of pests like Flies, Gnats, Cockroaches, Crickets, Termites, Moths, Aphids, and others.  Would you rather have "one" spider in your home, or "100" Cockroaches?  Think about that.

  4. Call an exterminater!

Sounds to me like your house is infested with them.

I can't even sleep knowing there's one spider in my house and having to kill 10 a day would give me a heartattack! lol.

    seriously though call one.

Bug spray won't fix this. and yes there may be a nest.

    good luck.

and considering the type of spider it is i would take it VERY seriously!

  5. that might be the case. mabe you should call an exterminator.
