  1. yeah. youll get to do the gauntlet in practice. itll be fun

  2. yea bantam is the first age for checking peewee is the last age of non checking, so you are in luck my friend. i was so excited when i entered bantam and the game has become even more exciting for me. im a midget now and hockey has just become super addicting because checking and a bit of fighting thrown in  really spices up the game. have fun!!!

  3. Yes, Bantam is the first age group where checking is allowed.

Your team will probably work on it in practice.

Carlton- Your right! I forgot about Pee Wee, Long time ago I guess. Thanks.

  4. Ask someone involved in your league.

  5. try going to their main office and asking or try asking your coach!

  6. You really need to check your league.  In USA travel hockey, checking is first allowed at the Pee Wee level.  However, some rec leagues are entirely non-checking at any level, even Bantam.

If this is your first year and your league is checking, you ought to go to a checking clinic so that you can learn how to deliver and receive checks the correct way to be both an effective player and not get hurt.
