  1. i played hockey for 8 years and i think the under aromr long sleeve is best dont were pants

  2. Heres the deal.

You can just wear a tee shirt and boxers/boxer briefs... But if you want to wear the under armor stuff you'll want to be smart about it.

Don't get the stuff that keeps you warm, get the "cool" stuff. If you are playing in a warm rink wear cut off sleeve under armor and compression shorts. If you are playing in a cold rink you'll likely want the long sleeves.

  3. My boyfriend plays hockey and he goes with the under armour long sleeves and tight fitting shorts, or even long underwear if it's outside. If you leave skin exposed, the stuff you're wearing on top can chafe, but if you wear a tight, thin layer over your whole body, then there's less chance that something in the top layer will chafe your skin underneath.

  4. I couldn't wear any shirt under my equipment.  It just felt bulky and uncomfortable.  I would usually just wear boxers and go shirt less.  Comfort was huge to me.

  5. Whan i wear protective gear i need to wear a thin layer underneath as when playing in heat for long periods of time i sweat nd this causes a rash that lasts for a long time.

    Hope this helps

  6. I wear under armor long sleeves, and shorts with a cup in it and velcro for the socks....if its tight it feels better than loose

  7. As a goalie, I wear the Under Armour long sleeve mock (Metal, it's in their heatgear line) under my pads.  At first I thought the compression fit was going to be restrictive, but you actually have full freedom of movement.   The biggest problem with regular tshirts is the weight; they soak up water and sweat and weigh a ton.  The UA stuff doesn't get as heavy by comparison.

I also wear the Under Armour hockey short (it has velcro tabs for your socks); I found them at one of their outlet stores on the cheap, and picked up 3 pair.  I prefer a compression short as it keeps my legs warm and doesn't add any bulk.

One hint- I bring a bag with me for all of my wet gear after games and/or practices.  When I'm done, I throw my socks, sweater, undershirt, jock, skullcap, etc. in the bag; makes laundry easy and keeps your equipment from getting funked beyond words (it will anyway though).

Second hint- unless you really like rancid smells, don't leave your equipment bag in your car.  Trust me on this.
