  1. I think this guy is an idiot.

I find it funny his Homerism is bleeding a bit on the Pens, Flyers, and Islanders.  He is an idiot for saying that the Pens are not going to be strong up front, saying Philly has questionable goaltending, and being a Rangers fan that obviously has a crush on the Islanders.  Most of his arguing points about the Devils are scandalous, and many not even proven.  Don’t get worked up about such crappy media coverage.

  2. He makes some valid points. I don't mind if he defends his team. I said this a couple of years ago. Lundqvist is the best goalie in the league. He's got many years ahead of him. The Rangers have defnitely improved themselves this off season. I don't want to see them win, but I am not going to be a jerk and say they won't be a winning team.

I like seeing fans of other teams defend their teams.  I think the Sabres are going to come back and win their division this year. Anyone got a problem with that?

You can't ban everyone who disagrees with your opinions. He wasn't being a jerk and wasn't too obnoxious. I don't like what he said about the Devils, but it's his right as a hockey fan. as wrong as he is.

  3. both u r jealous. they knocked u out in the 1st round last year because u couldn't keep up. the rangers rebuilt their defense adding redden and Kalinin. Found replacements for jagr and avery in naslund and zherdev and added vorros, rissimiller, and fritsche. and still have a solid goaltender in Lundqvist.  The devils added a hasben holik but getting rolston was a good move. Brodeur peaked in 2003 and now hes declining and the devils will too.  The devils are gonna finish out of the playoffs and the rangers will take their place.  but everyone has their own beliefs and thats mine.

  4. The writer seems to be a bit of a homer.

The Penguins aren't "weak" up front. Having Crosby, Malkin, Staal, Sykora, Satan is not "weak". They are "weaker than last season", yes, but they are most deffinately not "weak". I think he worded himself incredibly wrong.

And second off.......I think the Flyers have themselves a better team than the Rangers have themselves. I am in no way shape or form a Flyer fan, but I think right now the Flyers could kick the Rags @ss. I would take Dany Briere over Markus Naslund any day. I would also take Mike Richards over Chris Drury any day.

    And.......Brodeur > Lundqvist

  5. His analysis of the Pens and Flyers is fairly accurate.  The Pens DEFINITELY are weaker up front, and I personally still have doubts regarding Martin Biron's future performance.

He does seem to fondle the collective nut sack of the Isles' organization, for reasons that are trivial to say the least.  Rick DiPietro is the ONLY contributor to anything Islanders Hockey...fanbase, players, and front office alike.  They will remain at the bottom of the division, and for quite some time.

The Rangers do look to me like the strongest team in the division, but they are by no means worthy of being placed on a pedestal in the manner in which he does.

While he makes a couple valid points regarding the Devils, the rest of his argument is nothing more than bias bullsh*t.  NJD is one of the teams that made great moves this offseason.  The added scoring was necessary, although a top tier blueliner would have been helpful.  His comments regarding the AHL affiliate and the ECHL team are questionable, as is their relevance to a preseason power ranking.  The comments about the location are also pretty retarded.  Many NHL cities deal with the same crime rate as Newark New Jersey.  Has anybody ventured away from the Joe Louis Arena after an evening game and lived to tell about it?  I think he's upset that New Jersey has won cups in the last decade, and his team has been choking.

  6. njdevs.com is the site for u

    RANGERS SUCK

  7. OK first of all, shame on you for sending me to the Rangers site BUT since its a hockey question I'll let you slide this one time.LOL

Surprising they would have the Rangers in the number 1 spot.A team that got embarrased by the Pens.Is Wade Redden one of the top DMan in all of hockey like he's paid?I don't think so but I've been wrong before. One of the main reasons why the Flyers had their turnaround was the netminding of Marty Biron. He stood on his head when it mattered the most. The playoffs.Even if they do get Sundin I don't see them as the number 1 seed in the Atlantic. Also I'd take Biron and a guy named Brodeur any day over Lundqvist in the playoffs.

  8. He's a Ranger fan.  Don't ban him.  You know the old saying: Give him enough rope, and maybe he'll hang himself.

Lou Lamoriello will get frustrated with Brent Sutter late in the season, and fire his pathetic ex-Islander carcass, and replace him with a coach who will win the regular-season division title.  After that, anything's possible.  Except a Ranger Cup win.  14 years down, only 40 more to go.

Of course, we Devils fans can no longer mock Jagr and Avery with the words "2 Girls, No Cup." But I'm sure we'll find someone else to stick it to.  Oh yeah, Gomez the traitor.

RANGERS SUCK: Now more than ever.
