Hockey Survey About your Fanatic Life?

0 LIKES UnLike

So I asked a Serious Question about 5 minutes ago, and for some odd reason, it got deleted..... Anywhoo

1) My dad says that he likes to watch Hockey games better on T.V for the sake of the commentary... Which do you like, watching it live? or on t.v?

2) Do you scream louder for a Leveling hit, Or an amazing save?

3) Do you have a room in your home that is filled with your fav. team items?

4) Whats the most expensive Hockey thing you own?

5) If you had a family member or friend going into the NHL, but were drafted by the team you despise, would you still buy their jersey?

6) How many Hockey sectioner's does it take to figure out who's going to win the cup next year?

7) If you won a contest to hang out with Steve Yzerman or Wayne Gretzky who would you choose and why?

8) When you were younger or, if you still are young, and did a "No No", Have you ever been punished from hockey? If so What did you do, and what was the punishment??

ENJOY :)

    umm kinda

    400 dollar stick

    uhh yeah i guess

    too many

Wayne..he's a bigger indpiration and would be cool to meet.

    no..haha

  2. 1. Live, better atmosphere

    2. Amazing save, its more important

    3.that's the whole house

    4. probably my extensive collection of hockey cards

    5. of course

    6. only one if it's Bill Water

    7. Wayne gretzky if i couldn't go with mats sundin. He is one of the best.

    8. no, hockey is too important.

  3. 1. i like to go to the games and watch it there because its so exciting at the arena. i love going to madison square garden to watch a game. the first time i was there i had chills its such an amazing place a matter a fact i still get chills sometimes

    2. a hit because when a goalie makes a really really amazing save you don't really know what to say its like "oh my......" you can't even describe an amazing save in words sometimes

    3. my room is. i have tons of posters, pillows, a blanket, signed stuff, memorabilia, banners, stickers, cards etc.

    4. i don't know i have a couple of really good cards that are worth something. i have a signed puck by the one and only sean avery and a signed picture of adam graves

    5. no i couldn't do it. i have thought about this too. my cousin is a huge islander fan and i am a huge ranger fan and he plays hockey so i am always like what if he makes it? but i would root for him in a game but not against my team.

    6. i don't know

    7.  Wayne Gretzky because because i have always like the oilers and he played for the rangers ( i don't really like the kings though no offense to any fans). its close though because i really like yzerman and the wings too.

    8. no not really. my mom and dad know that if they did that i would be pissed. plus my dad and i watch every game and i don't think that he would do that to me. the worst thing though is if i am punished because then i have to watch the game in my room, i don't really like to watch it because i always fall asleep in my room and i can't sit in my lucky chair.

  4. 1) I dig my TiVo so I enjoy watching games at home I can skip commercials rewind goals, slo-mo and all that jazz. But honestly nothing beats a live game.

2).SAVE I grew up as a goalie which was passed on from J.O Senior.

3).Sorta I have a handful in my office but most is in storage.

4).Years ago I spent 2g's on Goalie leg pads(in 1992) and 1g on a custom mask at the time.

5).I'd buy it but not sure that I'd wear it.

6).Opinions are like a----you know the rest.

7).Wayne I live by Atlantic City so his gambling wife would have something to do while we hit the town.

8).My punishments occurred on the ice....I had that Billy Smith goalie side to me as a youth..

  5. 1.) Watching it live, for sure.  I don't really need the two guys telling me what's going on.  I can see :-)  Plus the atmosphere in the arena is so much better.  And it's quiet, and once there's a goal everyone erputs!

2.) Amazing save, definitely.  We got Marty Brodeur to thank for those! ;-)

    3.) My room.  Haha.

4.) Probably a jersey.  That's like $150.  I got all of my signed items by the team.  I don't purchase autographs.

5.) Yeah, for sure.  I would want to support him as much as possible.  But then I'd wear a Devils hat to offset it.  :-)

6.) Steve Yzerman.  I got to see more of his career, so I appreciate him more.  Gretzky retired when I was only 8, so I hate how I never really got to see him in his prime.  I got to see most of the end of Yzerman's career.

7.) Nah, I was generally a good kid ;-)  Note the word generally.  Haha.

  6. 1. live i like being there

    2. amazing save

    3. my room :)

    4. Wayne Gretzky jersey

    5. yes

    6. none no one knows

    8. no my mom knows i will go crazy

  7. 1. live! i like hearing the puck hit the boards and sticks and the post. its great. but i do love ken and mick.

    2. at the games i scream louder for leveling hit but at home def a save. i can appreciate them more when i see them on tv and slow mo and different angles and what not. i usually miss all the sweet saves ne way at the games. im usually in a bit of a haze... lol

    3. my man dungeon aka my bedroom. its basically a shrine to the red wings. when people walk into my room people they say things like "is this your brothers room?"

    4. my jersey. its... its my favorite.

    5. i would totally buy their jersey! i would hate it but i gotta support a friend!

    6. well... 30. eventually someone wll guess right!

    7. stevie. cuz he knows holmstrom? LOL i joke! cuz its stevie! the captain. im a wingnut i always wanna hang out with another wingnut!

    8. not really cuz i got into hockey a month before i turned 21. but dont give mother ne clues. she's evil! lol

  8. 1) well, i like both but i like it more live

    2) amazing save

    3) no

    4) nothing...yet

    5) yeah, they're family

    6) lol...idk

    7) Steve Yzerman...why? idk he just seems more likable...LOL

    8) no i haven't been punished from hockey

  9. 1. Live!! The Mellon Arena is crazy and I love me some craziness!!

    2. Leveling hit..I like violence

    3. Yes..my bedroom has a little section dedicated to the Penguins and a little section dedicated to the Steelers

    4. ummmm....lol I'm cheap..a $20 Hal Gill T-shirt!!

    5. Yes..I would love and support them and pray to the hockey gods for a trade to a better team.

    6. None because last I checked...Ms. Cleo wasn't a registered user.

    7. Gretzky..he's a legend and I would love to just have a few cold beers and listen to him tell stories.

    8. Nope...I've only recently turned into a naughty girl - but being 22 theres not much my parents can do to me...hehe

  10. 1. Live

    2. The leveling hit

    3. yes, my bedroom

    4. A jersey

    5. No, I would wait till they get to a different team

    6. 47

    7. Steve Yzerman...I'm sure as a Wings fan, you know the god like aura surrounding Yzerman. Gretzky didn't matter, it's all about #19.

    8. I never really got in too much trouble, I never really got caught I should say.

  11. 1) Watch it live . But play it even better

    2)The save

3)I have plenty of Items from My teams The room is not filled yet though

4)I have many expensive items. I think my practice worn Czech Republic hockey Jersey that was worn by Chechmanic(sp?) During the 1998 Olympics  is probably the item worth the most. It is rare

5)Yes I would buy their jersey

    6)All of them

7)Toughie. I really would like Both but if I had to choose one I would take Gretzky. Just to say that I skated with the Great one would be very cool

    8)NO I have not

  12. 1. I prefer live. It's much better.

    2. Amazing save.

    3. No.

    4. My jersey.

    5. I wouldn't want to buy the jersey of a family member. I dunno, but that's something that seems kind of lame to me... It's like, "Oh look, that guy, he's my cousin, wooohoooo, I'm wearing his jersey, yeah!! I'm cool because he's my cousin!" That's the kind of image you'd be giving off, in my opinion...

    6. (All of them) * ∞

    7. Wayne Gretzky, because he's the great one.

    8. No, not really. I've been banned from watching TV in general in the past, but nothing specifically hockey-related.

  13. 1)Well, TV is cheaper, beers don't cost eight dollars, and it's much easier to use the bathroom during commercials, but nothing beats watching a live raising of the Stanley Cup.

    2) One of those"How the He-l-l did he stop that" will get a bigger yell from me.

3)Not since my son was born, he gets all the space now,lol

    4)Signed Denis Potvin jersey

5)Family member, yes, but a friend, no. I'll still support my friend, but not getting me to wear a Rags sweater unless some payoff is involved.

    6) Around 3,600, or about how many times the question was asked.

7)Stevie Y of course. Gretzky was coddled too much.

8)My folks never punished me from playing sports. I might have to stay in or do punishment chores for a week or so, but I was always allowed to go to my games, as long as I came straight home after.

  14. 1) well, Live is fun, fans are great, it's a great experience, but hockey is nothing without commentary. but i know in my city we have a Major Junior team, and you could purchase these radio things to listen to the commentary while watching the game.

    2) I scream as lous as i can for both!

    3) Yes, the space under my bed, and my closet. i moved into an apartment temporarily, no where to put anything.

    4) Well i have some pretty expensive hockey cards.. including a Gretzky rookie that books for like 850-1000 bucks.

    5) Yeah, for sure, no question lol.

    6) it takes 1 idiot to ask the question and another to answer it.

    7)  Gretzky because my dad grew up with Wayne and was good friends with him growing up.

    8) No, i havn't i've played competitive street hockey and floor hockey, but i'm pretty clean.. maybe a few high stick penaltys..

  15. 1. RWQ, you know exactly how much I love to see games Live! lmao

    2. Hit.

    3. Yea.

    4. Some autographed things.

    5. No! I would not speak to him ever again!

    6. None, since none of us know.

    7. Yzerman, since he is my favorite player ever!

    8. No, thank f*ck Hockey has never been taken from me!

  16. I guess they don't like the serious side of you? who knows.

    1) LIVE! I think your father is the only person i've ever heard that actually likes the commentary. I think a 5 year old toddler can do a better job than half of those guys haha

    2) ... this actually made me think. Probably a hit - but i'd have to pay more attention when hockey season starts up again to notice which one. lol i scream at everything though

    3) i have newspaper clippings with the players pictures in my bedroom - a stuffed penguin sitting on my printer and a signed ryan malone hockey puck on my computer screen.

    4) This big huge car magnet on my brothers car.

    5) ONLY for the fact that they are a family member i would WEAR it... not buy it.

    6) good question! lol

    7) wayne! he'd have some awesome stories.

    8) nope. i'm a good little angel 0=)

  17. 1) In my opinion watchig it live is one of the best feelings

    2) Amazing save!

    3) nah my suff is al over the place

    4) a jersey

    5) yeah always gotta support my family!

    6) none you cant predict that!

7)wow thats a hard on i pick Gretzky

    8) um... im still ung nothing happen to me like that yet!

  18. 1. T.V because live sometimes you can't even see, and the commentary is good to

    2. save! gotta love and raise your goaliess!

    3. nope sadlyy:((

    4. probably all my equipment, or signatures

    5. duhhh, it would have my name on it!!

    6. who knows?????? I never thought of that b4

    7. Wayne Gretzky bcuz we share the same birthday Jan. 26th.

    8. I got a F on an assignment which didn't obide by my fathers rles of a B or higher, so I was gone from hockey for a week, and I had to deal with it I guess?

  19. 1. I love living it live...cannot beat the first-person action!

    2. More at an amazing save than anything...a near goal and the means to stop it are exciting!

    3. Yes! My spare bedroom is filled with Penguins stuff.

    4. It would have been my Mario Lemieux jersey from the 2001 NHL All-Star game, but some stupid b*tch never gave it back to me. For now, it is my Sidney Crosby rookie cards.

    5. Heck yes! Blood is thicker than water my friend.

    6. All the folks (all 13 of you I might add) who said at the very beginning that the Red Wings were going to be the victors this year...jerks! Lol!

    7. I would hang out with Wayne Gretzky, because I'm fascinated as h**l that a man who is considered a legend in his sport is as humble and down to earth as #99, as opposed to being an arrogant prick (like Michael Jordan for instance).

    8. I was punished from hockey when I was bad by being forced to watch the NBA!

  20. 1) Ideally live, and somewhere where I can watch Coach's Corner inbetween periods

    2) An amazing save. People who've never "donned the pads" rarely if ever realise how hard it is to become a good goalie. On the other hand, most people who have played the game know how to give, and take, a hit.

    3) I pay my rent monthly, but if I ever get an "OK" from the landlord yes especially as it's a 2 bedroom apartment so there is room for a little display ..

4a) If you're going by retail value, my authentically signed Mario Lemieux signed pic from after they beat the Hawks in 1991 worth about $400. (used to be my Orr 16x20 "the goal" picture but my Mum "forgot" to insure it while shipping it, low and behold, the frame broke, tearing through the picture somewhat, and UPS claims not to be responsible since it wasn't insured.)

4b) Among my gear, probably my Brian's Beast goalie glove.

Got it as a package deal since I bought it with the matching blocker for $300 - normally the set would have cost about $500 (if anyone's wondering, before that I had a Louisville "Cujo" trapper and Heaton "Wave" blocker)

Oh also among my goalie gear, my 34x12 Franklin 9200 leg pads. Got them on clearance a couple years ago for $199 (srp when they came out was around $700, they're a lot like the Louisville X-Hale's)

    5) Yes because I know much commitment one must endure to get to that level and I would be very proud of them.

    6) Depends on which sectioner's you're talking about. Some of us know more about the game than others.

    7) That's a very good question .. Gretz has more insight on the old school obviously. But how can one not respect Stevie Y ..

    8) I was caught drinking booze while underage and my aunt threw out a pair of skates I had just broken in, which I had paid for by working many weekends at my dad's shop (that's how I got the $ to pay for them. In order to save up enough to get the same skates again, I had to work even more)

  21. 1) Live, but sadly I've never been to a game - ever! :'(

    2) amazing save maybe

    3) no but I do have some stuff in my bedroom

    4) hard to say....I'd have to think about that

    5) this sounds terrible but it would depend on how close of a family member or friend it was....probably yes even though I would only wear around them to make them happy

    6) lol I'm not sure :P

    7) Yzerman! only because I grew up watching him play for the Red Wings

    8) YES!! It was terrible! It was the Stanley Cup Final of this year and my brother stole the chair I was sitting in and wouldn't get up lol and we were sort of fighting about it and this table got knocked over...any how my mom (who doesn't care about hockey) yelled at me and I got sent up to my room lol (i'm 14 btw) and the Wings scored a goal and finally I was allowed to come down I was soooo afraid that the game was going to end because we had 15 minutes left. Whew!

  22. 1. Live becuase you get more fans into the game

    2. Hit

    3. Yes. I have some autographed cards and jerseys in my room

    4. A signed jersey

    5. Yes but it would be hard to do

    6. A lot because none will say Ottawa even though they are going to win the cup

    7. Yzerman because he grew up in the town I am from

    8. No I have not

  23. it's those trolls again

    1) live, haha the funny thing is that our seats are right next to the announcers so we could listen to them if we really wanted to.

    2.) amazing save

3.) my room has quite a bit of stuff

    4.) i'm not sure

5.) sure, why not, i would be there to support them, not the team

    6.) all of us

7.) gretzky, i like him better

8.) No, but i have been threatened, haha, threatened, ya right, my parents are such pushovers

  24. 1) Definitely live, it's way more fun to see the game in the arena with a bunch of friends in the cheap seats.

    2)A hit.

    3) Yes, my room.

    4) Good question, probably my jersey, but the most valuable hockey item, to me at least is definitely my hockey stick signed by multiple Devil's players of past years.

    5) I've informed all who play hockey in my family that if they were to ever play in the NHL they were to never play for the Rangers, or the Flyers, and if they were drafted to the team, they are to immediately request a trade or I would not acknowledge them as family anymore.

    6) No one can figure that out.

    7) Easy pick, Yzerman. Gretzky's a homo with a gambling wife. As far as I'm concerned, he can stay with his Phoenix Coyotes who just finally broke 500 by one game under his wing, they're a Mickey Mouse organization. Hope they never make the playoffs while he's there. Better yet, lets hope they go bankrupt and drop out of the league. Buncha losers.

    8) No, Hockey was untouchable as for punishment in my household as a kid.

  25. 1) Watching It Live! History In The Making Dude!

    2) A Clap For A Save and A "YEAH!" Scream for the Hit

    3) Nope Not Yet Just a Full Shelf on My Bedroom Wall

4 I think my Authenic Sergei Fedorov Jersey Now Signed by Chris Osgood

    5) Of Course I Would! I love my Family and Support them In every way

    6) 0 Cause we've got the Red Wings

    7) Both.. Hang out with One on Monday and the Other on Tuesday

    8) Can You Repeat The Question Again?

  26. 1. LIVE!! I love going to the game their is so much more energy. Its so exciting. But i do like commentary so i record the game and watch it when i get home.

2.Proabably a save. I do scream for a good hit though but saves are more important.

3.My bedroom. When you walk in my room you can tell i love two things Hockey and Orange!

    4.My Jersey it was $165.

5.Ya you got to support family. I would learn to love the team.

6.Too many to count. No one ever really knows until it gets down to the finals and even then its hard to figure out.

7.I'm gonna have to go with Gretzky i mean he is the GREAT ONE

8.No i am a good kid. Plus my mom never punishes me i just get yelled at but if she did she probably take hockey away.

  27. 1. I like the atmosphere of being there, but I do like a well commentated game, while I'm on the couch in my pajamas

    2. Both, but when it comes down to it, the save matters more. With the save, Id either be like "woooo" or like "that was too close assbag!"

    3. Theres only hockey stuff in my room

    4. I probably have a hoodie that was actually more than my ghetto jersey

    5. No gumba of mine is going to Ottawa

    6. Apparently all of the dumb ones. Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers.

7.Wayne Gretzky so I could drill him about the Pro-Stars cartoon

    8. Not gonna lie, my parents suck at punishment. The one time they actually truly grounded me was in the off season ;) And if you must know, I failed my math 3 regents and my chemistry regents.

  28. 1) Nothing beats being there!

    2) Well my wife think I ALWAYS yell too loud but I'd say a save because on a hit I'm usually saying tomyself that had to hurt.

    3) I've got pretty much ONE room in the house that I get much say over what can be in it, so my office has all of my hockey stuff in it.  Except the gear bag that the wife refuses to let me  have it in the house because she says it smells  lol

    4) An Yzerman game won jersey

    5) I'd have one probably, but I'd never let my friends know.  lol

    6) I'm not sure it's calculatable

    7) Steve Yzerman, hands down!  He has ALWAYS been my favorite.  We share the same first name so that was always one of the original reasons that I liked him but since he was so great and played on my team I would just be in awe and want to hear ALL of his stories that the general public never got to hear.

    8) I can't say I was ever punished from hockey specifically since grounding cover pretty much every activity that I would do.  Fortunately the grounding never kept me from league games but I did miss out on the night my buddies and I would rent out Wings Stadium in Kalamazoo after a K Wings game and the pond hockey games we would play after school.

  29. 1. LIVE!

    2. Amazing save definitely

    3. Yes...my room

    4. I'm not sure

    5. No, I would make them get me one I mean it's their jersey

    6. Everyone

    7. Wayne Gretsky, because I would want to be able to say I met the great one

    8. Nope...

  30. 1. Live

    2. Both. I always scream.....even if nothing is happening.

    3. My room! lol. My room looks like one big hockey room.

    4. Hmmmm.......

    5. Of course I would. Family and friends come way before rivals and hatred.

    6. All of us. =b

    7. Gretzky. He was a better player......and there's no way in h**l I'd hang out with a......Red wing. lmao, jk jk.

    8. Yes..........well, I'm still bribed with hockey all the time. My dad when he's too lazy to do something he's like "Go do (place job here) or I'll turn off the tv tonight and you can't watch hockey!"

  31. 1. Same with my dad, LOL

It depends if you have front row to the game, then live, otherwise at home I like the commentary!

    2. Amazing save.

    3. Yes, my bedroom :)

    4. Mike Johnson's hockey stick!

    5. Yes.

    6. A LOT.

    7. Wayne Gretzky, because he seems like a nice guy & he's the Great One.

    8. I got kicked out for fighting, this girl who was harassing my friend and me, ticked me off, so I started a huge brawl with her, ended up breaking her nose, I wasn't allowed back after that.
