Hockey and Canadian History?

Question

For my socials project, we had to relate something to Canadian history. I chose hockey for my project and now I'm wondering how I can connect the two. I also need to print out something to show the people in my group because we're having mini seminars. So anything else like charts or anything at all that helps me with my project would be appreciated! Thanks :)

HockeyPro got the quote I was gonna suggest down pat. What was it like being at those games? I have spoken to Bobby Clarke about it from a player's perspective, but assuming you're not Eagleson or someone who was affiliated with Team Canada, what was it like as a spectator?

you can have parts of hockey history and events list when it began where it began i would suggest watching the documentary called hockey a peoples history. you can put events like the 1972 summit series against Soviet Union. i can tell you something about this series because i was there. this series we won and claim hockey supremacy some say. i still remember the chant lol it was “Da Da Canada, Nyet Nyet Soviet  every one was chanting that. go canada!!!!!!!

How about that hockey originated in canada, the team with the most stanley cups (montreal canadians) are from canada, and the best hockey player ever (wayne gretzky) is from canada!

1st of all hockey is from Canada and originated there. History in itself, going on to how it became a world sport. The suggestion about  the majority of players coming from Canada is good also as well as the Summit series and Challenge Cup. I would also link he success of the Canadian Olympic Teams over the years. The Hockey Hall of Fame and the fact that it is a dream of all young Canadians to become NHL players. as far as visuals are concerned, I would make a timeline showing these events and what else that occurred at the same time. I'm sure there are there some political figures that played any war veterans etc....find a way to link that as well.  Good Luck.
