What is a good curve for a defenseman out these choices: Sakic, Foreberg, Iginla, or Lidstrom? I want to get off a really good slapshot and a descent wristshot.

  1. for D i'd get the Lidstrom, but your shot improves with practise. the stick can only do so much if u don't know how to use it (I can hear the ladies giggle)

  2. The curve of your stick is all personal preference. I play defense. I prefer almost no curve at all on my sticks. I am much more defensive defenseman. You will have to experiment around. That is how I figured out what worked best for me. Everyone shoots differently.

  3. Just practice on your shot with a modest curve.  Practice, practice, practice.  Crosby uses an almost straight stick and he has a missle for a shot.  There's more to the game than the big windup and you can have equal success if you refine your game.

  4. Depends on what type of Defense you are. I was a forward growing up and then became a defense right before high school and played defense all through high school. I was an aggressive defense who loved creating offense. I used a Foresberg. I had one of the hardest shots on are team and a accurate wrist shot.
