Hockey fans in Cleveland?

Do hockey fans in the Cleveland area root for the Blue Jackets simply because they're the only team in Ohio, or do they ignore their hatred for the Steelers and root for the Penguins? Or do they just go around the lake and root for the Wings?

  1. I grew up a Pens fan just south of Cleveland despite my hatred for the Steelers. There was no such thing as the Blue Jackets when I was there.

  2. With the AHL Monsters having affiliation with Colorado, that club is also in the mix.

Columbus used to market the club into the northeast Ohio area, but that hasn't really been the case over the past several years.

This area used to be a hotbed for the Red Wings, with the Penguins in a solid second place & I believe that is still the case.

  3. All I know is heavysoviet supprorts Columbus and Detroit

  4. I am a Red Wings and Blue Jackets Fan. I like the Penguins as well  because they are close to Cleveland, I don't care for Football so the whole Steelers thing doesn't bother me. The Pens are not my favorite team, but I like them. I won't cheer for them if they play the Red Wings or the Blue Jackets though. I don't support the Lake Erie Monsters of the AHL because I don't like the Colorado Avalanche at all and I will not support them or their farm team.

  5. Heavysoviet cheers for the Jackets and he's from Cleveland...

    I honestly have no idea.
