Hockey gloves?

I never did the answer to this question -

in a recent (field) hockey (champions trophy) match between netherlands and spain with around 21.20 minutes to go till the end of the first half there was a penalty and someone put on gloves - except they were cricket batting gloves. Were they?

I also play some hockey and when I went to buy some new grass hockey balls they were right next to the cricket balls and looked exactly the same! Also whats the difference between a cricket ball and a hockey ball used on grass?

Even though what you speak of is a form of "hockey" we are not familiar with your brand of it? Most what is spoken here is NHL ice hockey and things of that nature. Good luck in your search and sorry for the ignorance.
