Hockey on Jeopardy?

So on Jeopardy tonight, there was a category on Sports...

The $2000 question...

"In 2000, an expansion team called the Minnesota Wild joined what professional sports league?"

...and NO ONE EVEN RANG IN.

My question is this... does this bother you? Do you think Alex was pissed, since he's Canadian?

That reminds me of another hockey reference on jeopardy that no one even tried to ring in for......the answer was Steve Yzerman, I don't remember the question.....but god....it annoys the heck outta me! I'm sure Alex was angry inside hahahaha.....he always seems angry....xD

My mum was cuz she sent me a text mesage about that. It's her fave show and as sum1 old enough to have rooted for the Brooklyn Dodgers she's not very high-tech

yea it kinda makes me a little mad because it just proves that hockey doesn't get any recognition. it really pisses me off that sports like baseball and even golf get more recognition than hockey. its pretty sad that some supposedly smart people don't know that answer.

I think he should be. But of course the people on jeopardy have no idea what goes on in the world of sports. But still that is an obvious question even if you use process of elimination. It is almost as if they did not know the NHL even existed.

i suppose it does not bother me. people on jeopordy wouldent nessarily know about hockey. i know nothing about baseball and i am american.

maybe the nhl is trying to get hockey back into the mind of that demographic.

2000 bucks is alot to loose on a guess.

I watched that, and I was so disappointed!!

On Cash Cab the other night, they were asked how many goals a player must score to earn a hat trick, and the people had no idea... they guessed "one"

You got jeopardy already?  It doesn't come on in New Jersey till 7:00.  Unless you watch it on that weird channel that puts the shows out earlier than national tv does.  Haven't quite figured out why.

That's sad.  I watched an episode a while ago and it was like, "This player, nicknamed The Rocket, etc. etc."  Nobody knew it was Maurice Richard.  Honestly...

A few years back Jeopardy had a category about the NHL logos and the $2000 question was: What is the name of the team on this logo? It was the 2nd oldest Buffalo Sabers logo!

No of the Logos were from the original 6 teams and I don't think any of the contestants would have got-ton any of them right either!!

OK Greg Jeopardy isn't even on here yet today. It is on at 7:30. I guess you get it early up there. That would bug me if I were in the audience. I am sure it bugged Alex as well.

also i know these people don't really care about sports, but when you go on jeopardy, and have to know EVERYTHING. and that includes sports.
