  1. You keep playing until someone scores. 4, 5, 6, overtimes, doesn't matter. No shootouts, someone has to score for the game to end.

  2. No shoot outs, just keep going with 20 min OTs

  3. Going into 2nd OT now... that first OT was incredible action... I could watch hockey like that all night...

  4. You play until someone scores. It is standard game rules with OT in the playoffs. You get 20 minutes periods followed by a 15 minute intermission. They play either until someone wins or until 6 OT periods are over. After 6 they apparently have some "curfew" rule in place or something like that, don't recall it ever coming up but apparently LITY pointed out the rule when someone was asking about how long it could go before.

  5. Next goal wins. The longest game ever was In 1936, Detroit vs Montreal Maroons. Detroit scored the lone goal at the 116:30 minute of the 6th overtime.

  6. You stop once someone gets a goal, or once you hit Quad overtime. Sometimes foul shots are taken.

  7. it keeps going until someone scores no matter how long it takes. my san jose sharks got knocked out during the 4th overtime, now that was another good game.

both games had excellent goalie saves.

major props to nabokov, turco, fluery, & osgood.

  8. Double overtime, triple overtime, h**l, the Sharks were eliminated in quad overtime!
