  1. if you can read a goalie pretty well you can tell where you can beat him, come goalies will bite hard, others will stay with you, but maybe keep there 5 hole open, maybe they have a week high blocker,

but in your case hit him in the nose or groin a few times, then everytime you fake to shoot he'll flinch, then you can fire it in

  2. I prefer to go the Trevor Linden route in shootouts.  You don't need to get fancy if you have good aim.  Just pick an open spot and let go with a fast, accurate wrist shot.  Top corners just above the goalie's shoulder is a particularly good spot because goalies find it hard to stop those.  Remember, goalies are not the same size and shape as the net so there will always be spots left open for you to shoot.

If you prefer to deek I would go backhand, forehand, backhand because most goalies go down when you are on the forehand.

  3. try this

  4. i'm fairly predictable but i usually skate as fast as possible to the net and then go on my strong side as if i was going to take a shot then go on my backhand and hit it top shelf...

or do a tight turn on my strong side really close to the net  (practically in the crease) and assuming the goalie went down flip the puck backhand on the fairside top corner

  5. when your skating to the goalie make sure you go fast and challenge the goalie to move fast and with you.

try to make the goalie make the first move.

and make sure your not to far in the crece

  6. what i do is go in as fast as i possibly can and keep my eyes on were ever im going to shoot i usualy go high glove side but yea beat him to his angle and fire away works most of the time for me

  7. 1) Come in from an angle, don't go straight. This will get the goalie moving.

    2) If the goalie is far in his crease shoot.  If the goalie is far out of his crease deke.

    3) One of the best places to shoot is low blocker right around where the heel of his stick. Watch Joe Pavelski in a Shootout he's one of the best that I've seen, I like to do what he does it works almost everytime if you have a nice snapshot if you wanna keep it simple.

    4)  Also it's good to have the puck on your side ready for a quick snapshot, rather than in front of you.

    5) Try your backhand, it's very hard for the goalie to read.  I score probably about %90 coming in from an angle and using the backhand.

    6) Watch Pavel Datsyuk,  I use a lot of his moves when I do a shootout.  He is the King of Shootouts to me.

  8. ok!you got to deke him out about 12 feet infront, then you go top shelf

    blocking:just react

  9. a good idea is to study Patrick Kane's shoot out vids

i believe he had like a 6 for 8 record in his rookie season

if you dont want to watch, force the goalie to come out of the crease about 2-3 ft, then deke and shoot behind him
