I'm going into bantam and i'm trying out for a AA team. I'm really worried for some reason i don't know why. I'm a forward and i'm an average size. All we do is scrimmage and do a few drills. Can someone please give me some tips and help me feel confident? Thank you.

  1. stay cool and HIT THE PUCK! but themost important thing is to be yourself. and if you don't make it, s***w the coaches you know you are good. by the way i play hockey too!! :)

  2. You have got to learn to relax out there. If you are calm your vision up the ice is so much better, in fact, your whole game will be better. ONE way to  relax is a gain of confidence through practice...hours of fun practice. Have fun!

  3. keep it calm and play as hard as possible

  4. Just don't worry about it, I'm trying out for AA too in 3 days, but for Midget. Every try out I ever went worried about to, I sucked because I was thinking too much about s******g up, and not enough about playing hockey. You just have to stay focused on what you wish to accomplish, and not worry about s******g up. If you weigh your options, whats a worse feeling: Going out there, giving your all, making some mistakes, and getting cut from the team; or going out there being scared, and not doing your best, then getting cut from the team, and possibly not getting a chance to play on it this year? I'd rather try my best and not worry about the outcome. But I am sure that if you try hard enough, the coaches will see that in you, and pick you for the team anyway. Good luck,

    Greg

  5. well just work as hard as you ever have... they'll notice that.. during the scrimmage as well , and play a smart game..
