Hodgson hails West Brom after final game

West Bromwich Albion’s former manager, Roy Hodgson went on to pay tribute to his team, following his last game in charge as the team’s manager.
Hodgson went on to play Arsenal in the last game of the season and as his last game in charge of West Brom. Following the conclusion of the game, the manager saw out his stay at the club following a fifteen month spell, where he managed to take the team
from the relegation zone, to being a mid table side.
In the game against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, Hodgson saw his side go on and take a two goals to one lead against the Gunners, early on.
However, his side couldn’t contain the North London club and in the second half, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Laurent-Koscielny-c21742 went on to score the match winning goal for the Gunners.
Despite the loss, West Brom still saw out the season in mid table, with the team looking to be much stronger than they had been in recent years.
When talking about the game and his team after the conclusion of the match, Hodgson is reported to have said: "This is a fantastic football club with a great tradition and even in the rough times, I felt the fans were behind us”

"You deserve another year in the Premier League and I would like to thank all the staff and players for their support during this past 15 months."
He then admitted in his match notes, that he was a little sad that he was leaving, since he had gotten attached to the team and everyone at the club.
"I must confess to a feeling of sadness at leaving West Brom,” he wrote. “I have been very happy here and it is no secret that I was in advanced talks with the club over a new contract.”

"I was not looking to leave the club but as a proud Englishman, when I was offered the opportunity to manage the national team, it was something I could not turn down.”
Hodgson is now set to go on and help http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 as England manager has started, following the end of yesterday’s Premier League matches.
