England’s manager, Roy Hodgson is hoping for the stars in the England squad to prove their worth in the tournament.
The manager has admitted that his team consists of cup winners and players who were exceptional all season long for their clubs and he feels that if they are able to retain that form, England could prove to be lethal in the Euro.
The manager also wishes for the players in the squad to feel determined to go on and win the competition, because he feels that they are capable of winning the tournament and beating just about any team.
When talking about his team and what he expects from them, the England boss is quoted to have said: “I just hope they play like they're capable of playing”
"We have a team full of players who are major stars in their own club sides, in one of the top leagues in Europe.”

"I see them playing to the best of their ability at home and my only hope is that they can reproduce that form in this tournament.”

"To the players, my message is going to be: 'I think you're ready, I think you're good enough, now have the confidence and the belief in yourself to go out there and show it - and don't get suicidal if things don't work out for you'.”
Roy Hodgson seems to be certain on just what he wants his team to do and how he wants them to do it. This could prove to be useful for the team, given the fact that they often seemed to lack direction and a sense of what to do in the past.
Nonetheless, Hodgson needs his start players to really turn up for every game, because if they don’t, then http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 might not stand a chance of even progressing from their group.
On the other hand, with everyone working at a hundred percent, the team might just be able to do the unthinkable and win the Euro 2012.
It is now down to the squad and just how badly they want to win the competition, for us to determine just how far the team will be able to go.
