http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749’s manager, Roy Hodgson has come forth and admitted that he isn’t too sure about Jack Rodwell’s move to Manchester City.
The midfielder went on to leave http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c39043 and join the Manchester based club this past Monday, in a move that went on to shock just about everyone in the footballing world.
The move came out of nowhere and it seems like everyone just isn’t accepting the transfer as well as they should be.
Hodgson is one of those people who doesn’t see the logic behind the move and he has gone on to question the reasons behind the transfer.
The England boss thinks that it might have been a mistake for Rodwell to join City, given the fact that he might not get the playing time that he is hoping for.
At the same time, he thinks that City pointlessly went over the top to sign a midfielder, considering the fact that they already have enough players to play in the middle of the park
Hodgson told reporters: "I've got to be honest; I think this year there'll be quite a few times when I have to select players who might not necessarily be in their club teams.
"http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jack-Rodwell-c17462 has just gone to Manchester City. If you look at their midfield I don't know how many starts he's going to get there.”
"I fear quite often I'll be sitting here answering why I'm choosing players who aren't getting games for their clubs. That's a risk, but it's the nature of the Premier League and so few English players in the league, many of them playing for the same club."
Despite the manager’s concerns, it seems like Rodwell might just end up playing more games for City, than most can imagine.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 seems more than likely to turn to Rodwell to fill in for the midfielder.
Nonetheless, at this point in time it is a little too early to predict anything and it is going to be a wait to see just how Rodwell’s City career evolves.
