West Bromwich Albion manager, Roy Hodgson believes that coaching the English team is not too difficult despite the fact that they have been able to win a single major tournament.

“I am flattered to be considered.” Remarked the 64 year old.

February, 2012. The former English boss stepped down from duty after the Football Association sacked http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/John-Terry-c18895 as the captain of the national team.
After Capello’s resignation, Tottenham Hotspur manager, Harry Redknapp was considered as the overwhelming favourite for the job, but Hodgson has also come forward as a strong contender.
While talking to reporters, the Englishman said that the job of coaching England was not an impossible one as the English league is one of the best leagues in the world of football.
“I don't think any http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 is impossible. England have won a major tournament – only one, but they've still won one – and we are working in a league where football of a very high quality is played and we are producing players who most people
would regard as top European standard. So, impossible, no.” he said.

Earlier, Redknapp expressed the difficulty of player to player involvement as a major hindrance to take up an International duty. However, Hodgson responded to the Spurs boss concerns by saying that focus is the key to dealing with this
problem.
“You've just got to be even more focused on what's most important because you know that the time you've got with the players is more limited,” he added.
He then went on to admit that the managers of the bigger clubs are more capable of handling the International job.
Hodgson, who is currently the manager of West Brom, has coached three international teams before.

in the round of 16.
In 2002, he took over the job of coaching http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Finland-c2898 to a Euro 2008 qualification.
