Hoe old does a male chicken have to be before it can get a hen pregnant?

we recently found out a chicken we bought among older chickens in pregnant...we were wondering how old it would have to be before it could get the older hens pregnant...

haha chicken pregnangt...they're eggs get fertilized or sommthing. whenn it loks fully grown and has those red things probably..they dodn't always do it either i think its certain time of year..its kind of sick really. alsO chickens have to get broody to actually hatch the eggs unless you gonna INCUBATE these

Okay... how can you tell your chicken is pregnant??

Is she laying eggs?  That doesn't mean that she's pregnant... that means she's ovulating.  Hens ovulate and lay eggs whether there is a male around or not.  

If your rooster is about 5-6 months old, he's probably capable of fertilizing the eggs.

Chickens can NOT get pregnant. They lay eggs. They can not give birth to live young like us humans. You can NOT really tell if they are pregnant. Theywill lay an egg. If they are going to lay an egg they will hog a nesting box.

Roosters and hens sexually mature at 5-6 months of age. Usually if you see them mating, roos getting on the hens back then they will have Fertile eggs.
