The Bavarian giants’ official stressed that the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 head coach has not decided over his summer transfers, as he will take charge of the club at the end of the season
Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has insisted that recently announced trainer Pep Guardiola is still to figure out who he wants sign in the summer transfer window. He claimed that speculations about the new manager’s targets
are completely untrue and nothing has been discussed about the subject matter.
The former midfielder will take over at Allianz Arena from current coach Jupp Heynckes in the summer after the end of the campaign. This has in turn surfaced rumours that Der FCB will add more firepower to their squad and
stars such as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robert-Lewandowski-c31255 are expected to sign for the league leaders.
Nevertheless, the club official stated that all reports are false and revealed that Die Roten could possibly sign no player at all in the coming transfer window. He suggested that this is because of their lavish spending
in the previous summer when they signed the likes of Javi Martinez, Mario Mandzukic, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Claudio-Pizarro-c9324.
“The rumours about the players Guardiola desires are false,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
Pep is yet to talk to any players, although he does want the German club to solidify certain positions.
“Guardiola has still not called a player he would have liked. There was talk about positions which he considers could be improved on if possible, but he has not named any names,” the president added.
“When I look at how strong our squad is, I don’t think we need to make too many changes in the summer. I do not think that we will buy anyone in the next few years who is more expensive than [€40 million Javi] http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Martinez-c24468,”
he finally concluded.
Hoeness believes Bayern have enough depth in their squad, and will only make minor changes to the team at the end of the season. He also conceded that they will not purchase any star for a fee in excess of the amount they
paid for Martinez.
