The former Bavarian striker claimed that luck has favoured him from time to time and admitted that he was fortunate to land the Presidential role at the club.

about some of the most fortunate moments of his life which also include surviving a plane crash.
Hoeness is currently serving as Bayern Munich’s President. He was formerly the General Manager of the side and had a very successful rein as the team won many trophies at that time. He was the sole survivor of a plane crash in
Nuremberg in 1982 and only sustained minor injuries.
The President claimed that luck has favoured him most of the times in his life. The former Bavarian admitted that if he had made the decision to move to Hamburg SV instead of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/1-FC-Nuremberg-c38162, he might not have become the General Manager
of the club after his retirement.
“Obviously, I've been lucky from time to time. For example, at the end of my playing career, if I'd gone to Hamburg rather than Nuremberg, I don't know whether I'd have ended up as a general manager,” he was quoted as saying in
an interview.
The former West Germany international insisted that he has worked very hard with the club to make sure it remains in the position it is right now. He stated that when the Bundesliga was formed Bayern was not even in the first division
and the best club of the city was 1860 Munich which shows how far the Bavarians have come.
“When I came to Munich in 1970, the number one club in the city was 1860 Munich. When the Bundesliga was formed [in 1963], 1860 were in it and Bayern weren't! We've worked hard for everything we have now,” he concluded.
Bayern Munich are currently leading the Bundesliga standings table with 37 points from 17 games and have a three-point advantage over defending champions, Borussia Dortmund.
