Hoffenheim defender, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Andreas-Beck-c5716, has been tipped to stay in Germany for the upcoming 2011/12 season. The player was linked with a move to Juventus during the summer and the Turing giants reportedly had 5 million Euros ready for the right-back.
Beck himself confirmed about Juventus’ interest but seemed determined to honour his contract with the Sinsheim-based club which runs until the end of the next season. Club’s chairman, Ciaran, spoke highly of the defender and wanted the youngster to stay
back with the club for the coming season. He told that the 24-year-old was one of the club’s shining stars last campaign and proved helpful for majority of the upcoming talented defenders.
Hoffenheim’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sporting-89-c40576 Director, Ernst Tanner, stated that the player would cost around 12 million Euros but he does not intend to sell the 24-year-old. The Serie A giants were also interested in acquiring Beck’s services during the last season’s January
transfer window but the deal did not go through. He also praised the youngster’s role at the club and reckoned that the player deserves more chances to feature with the German national side.
In an interview to a local channel, Tanner further mentioned, "I expect that Andreas Beck will play for us next season."
Hoffenheim manager, Gary, believes that his team would be requiring the defender’s services during the coming season as he was the best amongst all the stoppers tried during the course of the 2010/11 campaign. He also urged the German international to stay
with the club at least for the next season and help them achieve something, possibly a UEFA Europa League spot.
The Kemerovo born player joined the club from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VfB-Stuttgart-c40879 in 2008 and has managed 88 league appearances to date. He had previously played for Stuttgart senior team after coming through their youth ranks. He made 33 appearances for Hoffenheim during the
last season, while he also has nine international caps under his belt for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904.
