  2. They have good water!

  3. Beautiful area make sure you go to granada and also if you can spare the time, to sevilla plus go walking in the sierra nervada and around there.  the one down side is that it is now populated by ex pats many of them with more money than sense which means the prices can be high and the locals see them as a great source of both income and amusememnt!  The one thing i would advise it to not drink the lanjaron bottled water as the company that bottles it is now taking that much water that the surronding land is suffering....  it rains little enough as it is without other water supplies running low.  Other than that enjoy it is a stunning area

  4. Ilive two hours from Lanjaron some beautiful veiws scenery make sure that any time that you go out that you have plenty of drinking water just now the temperature is around 35 plus if you have the chance visit Alhambra &generalifi not to be missed          bienvenidos Espana

  5. Lanjaron is a Spa village in the Sierra Nevada area of Granada, known for the purity of its water which is one of the main mineral waters sold in Spain.

Halfway between Granada and Motril on the road that goes down to the coast, it is known also for the purity of the air, besides that of the mineromedicinal waters that are so well known and the hydrotherapy at the local spa. (There are 5 different sources of water!). There are several walks worth taking in the area (you can get details from the people or hotel you are staying at).

The local fiestas are in June for San Juan (Saint John's day) And the patroness of the town is Nuestra Señora del Rosario (celebrated on the first sunday in october).

Take a side trip to TREVELEZ... one of the best places in Spain to taste (and buy) serrano ham.

If you have time drive down to the coast and visit both Salobreña and Almuñecar, lovely coastal towns with nice beaches, and further along toward Malaga you have NERJA with its famous grottoes...

That should fill your spare time!

    Have a nice stay...

And if you have more free time...come on down the coast to Mijas...that's where I live!

    Buen viaje!

  6. It is about one hour South of Granada.

It's claim to fame is it's water and it's bottling plant.

Not a lot in the town--usual bars etc but the countryside is beautiful
