  1. The Holden Coupe 60 concept is a sports coupe made by Holden. The Coupe 60 is a pillarless concept car that explores the limits of Holden's current rear-wheel drive expertise, combining racing looks and technology into a road going sportscar experience. The Coupe 60 is based on the Holden VE Commodore.

This concept car was first revealed at the 2008 Melbourne International Motor Show, along with the new HSV W427. It was also built to show how far Holden has come in 60 years, as the 60 means Holden's 60th anniversary. It is also a glimpse of future directions in design, engineering and emerging engine technologies.

This car is fueled by Ethanol (E85) and powers 275kW & 530Nm of torque

  2. I am not a Holden person at all. I hate the look of the base model commodores, the omegas. I reckon the flares just look shocking, on the other models they look all right though, I love the look of the statesman and the caprices. The coupe looks better than I thought it would. I dunno how it will go as a normal driving car on Aussie roads (Victorian roads mainly!!) they are shockers, even my tickford spec fairlane can bottom out on some highways!! This coupe looks like it sits much lower.

It should be good if it does come out. I would love to see the Efijy driving around, even though I am not a Holden fan it looks fantastic :P

    Have a good one mate!!

Hey, sorry I took a while to get back I was away for the weekend helping warm the environment driving the dune buggy. GM got Holden 1927?? So I don’t know what they where like back then haha, around the mid 90’s the motors Holden produced were biggish (3.8) but lacked a lot of torque and power, in comparison to the fords of the time. I don’t know a huge amount about there engines, they also seem very harsh when they rev. automatic holders have always been much quicker off the line than an auto falcon, because the falcons first gear is sooo loooong.. Yet at highway speeds the falcon’s reel them right in.

I reckon some of them can look like a Holden, my biggest thing I hate about the VE is the flares they really annoy me!! I rather the slightly square shape they had just before the VE, I don’t know Holden models either.. opps!! I take it your very much a Holden person?

    Have a good one!!
