Holding babies?

i know that you can't hold baby hamsters or rabbits, but it there any other baby rodents you can't hold?

  1. Baby mice, baby rats, baby Multimamilians, Baby cat's, try to name one you can touch besides humans, you'd be standing there thinking until next milinium!


  2. actually, you can hold most rodent species when they are a few days old. I am a rodent breeder and you can hold them as young as three days. You actually need to hold them for them to become socialized or they will be jumpy and do nothing but bite when held.

    mice and hamsters I know you can hold as young as three days (but not any younger or the mother might eat the baby(ies) because she smells an unusual and interfering smell on it.
