  1. Absolutly! all babies do thing on thier own pace so don't worry if your baby is ahead. now if your baby is behind more than 4 or 5 months in an important developmental step consult your pediatric doctor and tell him about it. good luck enjoy your baby

  2. That is good, every baby is different. both of mine held their heads up to look at lights and colors within the first week. But my sisteri n-law had a child that had to have the head supported until about 2.5 months (they never let that baby play on her tummy tho.

  3. Sure it is! Holding the head up is healthy, thats why tummy time is so important :)

  4. Yeah totally normal I have never had to carry lilli like a newborn because as soon as she was born she could hold her head up

  5. absolutely! Just be sure to still hold his head down - you don't want him to hold it up too often or for too long.

  6. sounds like he's a strong boy!  It's a good thing that he can hold his head up already.  My cousin just had a baby and she was holding her head up while she was still in the hospital (2 days old!)  Every baby is different I guess!

  7. Absolutely normal. My daughter holds his head up during tummy time when she was about three days old.
