Has anyone got a hole-in-1 when someone elses ball hits their own ball and goes in?

  2. sure i bet someone has, but they cant keep the hole in one, because according to the rules they have to place the ball back to its original spot.

  3. It is not a hole in one.  You're supposed to take it out and put it back where it was before someone else's ball hit it.

    On the other hand, if your ball hit someone else's ball and then your ball goes in, that counts as a hole in one.

  4. Sounds like two players hitting off at the same time or there is a common green for two holes. The first is a direct violation of golf etiquette and the second may result in one ball glancing off another and going in the hole. That is a possibility. Since I have played only one course which used a common green for two holes, it hasn't happened on my watch.
