Today on a par 3 I hit my first shot and it flew off to a canyon never to be found. I teed off again and it went into the hole. I therefore parred the hole, but is it still a hole in one?

  1. No..it is a 3 because of the penalty stroke for the lost ball

  2. I don't think so.I feel for you,but it was your second shot.Hole in one means one shot.

Keep trying, and I'll bet it will happen again.

  3. Since you were not playing for money, and I bet you called a "Mulligan", and I'm sure you bought drinks for all in the clubhouse, I would call it a Hole-In-One.

If you were on the Tour, it would be a birdie.

  4. Its a nice solid par 3 - slightly unorthidox way of getting it but CONGRATULATIONS all the same :)

  5. you answered it yourself nice par

  6. Technically, no; and it's not even a birdie - it's a par.

1st stroke - hit your ball into the canyon

2nd stroke - penalty for lost ball

3rd stroke - reteed and it went into the hole

Congratulations on the great shot, and personally I think it makes for a better story telling it exactly like it happened!

  7. say it was ur mulligan

  8. you cant find the ball? it should be one stroke penalty right? therefore it aint a hole in one. good luck next time :)

  9. Congratulations but it was a hole in two.  It took you two strokes to finish the hole so, no it was not a hole in one.  Sorry.

  10. Reading the other answers someone is not good at Math maybe it is me. First ball hit into canyon (out of bounds??) would mean you actually made a par(one in, two out, hitting 3 from the tee) So on the PGA tour that would be ... a PAR.

  11. Nice Par !!!!!!!!!!.

    Good Shot Though.

  12. yep

it was the first hit of the ball and i went into the whole so therefore it is a hole in one!!!

    congratulations!!

  13. I think you knew the answer.

  14. That is a par. A hole in one must be eagle or better. Nice shot and I'll bet you never forget it. But it is still a hole in two.

  15. This is one where you just say:

"Easy Par", and stroll off the tee like you knew what you were doing :)
