Help! there are holes on the top soil of almost all of my houseplants. The openings are about the size of a quarter and looks as though something has burrowed down into them. Have tried digging through to find out what, soaked with water, etc. but they eventually appear again. Any idea what this could be?

  1. are you sure its not where you are watering them causing the hole by pouring it in to fast, then after the water has soaked in a hole could be left. try this, leave a pecan or some type of nuts acorn ect. near and around the plants and if it is a mouse or rat they will take the nut in the night.

  2. if it's inside most likely you have a mouse in the house if outside could be anything

  3. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you've got yourself a scorpion problem!

We have them in Southern Alberta, but I was only pulling your leg!
