The Bayern Munich defender vows to bounce back against Die Wolfe after last Friday’s shock defeat against Borussia Monchengladbach.
Holger Badstuber wishes to get back on the winning track against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VfL-Wolfsburg-c40881 when the two sides lock horns on Saturday, January 28, at the Allianz-Arena. The sweeper is confident that the Reds will register a win over Felix Magath’s
men despite a demoralising effort against Borussia Monchengladbach last week.
Bayern were dumped badly by the Foals when they travelled away to the Borussia-Park on Friday, January 20, to get this season’s second-half underway.
Badstuber admitted that his side were below-par against Lucien Favre’s side, but added that they have trained well during the week. He insisted that the Reds will bounce back from their defeat in order to get their season on track
again.
While talking to the official Bayern website, the 22-year-old further elaborated:
"We've trained really well this week. I'm certain we've taken a good step forward. I'm very optimistic about the Wolfsburg match.”
On the other hand, the German international stated that his side has worked hard on defending which was their weakest link in the game against Gladbach. He added that the Bavarian giants are aiming to become more consistent as
the season unfolds in order to keep their lead at the top of the table.
“Jupp Heynckes has laid special emphasis on defending as a team this week, because we were sloppy in the last match. We showed total unity and conviction as a team earlier this season, and everyone helped out everyone else, none
of us were too far away from our team-mates. We know that was what made us strong, and we aim to demonstrate that again on Saturday," the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 international concluded.
Bayern are currently leading the Bundesliga standings with 37 points from 18 games, level on points with Borussia Dortmund and Schalke. Monchengladbach are just one point behind the league leaders on the fourth spot. A win over
Wolfsburg on Saturday will ensure Bayer’s dominance atop the league table, but a loss could bring them down as low as the fourth spot.
