Holger Badstuber remains positive about recovery – Football news
Germany international, Holger Badstuber, has been on the treatment table since December of last year following a career threatening injury, but he is optimistic about returning to the first team in the near future.
Bayern Munich star player, Badstuber, has stressed he did not fear his professional career would be over after suffering two serious injuries in five months. The young starlet damaged the cruciate ligament in his right knee first in the domestic league game
against Borussia Dortmund in December 2012.
“Not once did I fear my career might be over,” the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 international added.
The central defender was unfortunate to suffer the same injury during a practice session in May. However, he is positive that he will return to full fitness as he has good doctors at his disposal but he might not be able to play again this year. He clarified
that he did not think his career was over after two horrific injury blows.
“I'm not in the slightest bit worried. The best doctors are looking after me. It'll all be okay again. Apart from the cruciate, there’s no other damage to the knee. I had a few bad days, but never anything like deep depression for a long period,” the central
defender mused.
The German star claimed that he is not concerned about when he will resume training and added that good doctors are looking after him. As a result of this, he is expecting to be fit at the start of next year. He revealed that there is no damage to the knee
other than the cruciate.
“Obviously you think things over, but at some point you have to put it behind you. I have to think positive, I have to come through it. Moaning gets you nowhere,” the young star finally concluded.
Badstuber stated that he had a couple of bad days but nothing like a long depression. He admitted that he thinks about stuff but then you have to put it behind you and stay strong mentally. The centre-back is a youth product of the Bayern academy and developed
into a first team regular.
