In my company, I'm in charge of the planning of parties and give-aways associated with them. We're already on the way to planning the 2008 Holiday Party.

GREAT ideas.  From the Midwest myself.  I like the romance package, how about a get away from the kids for a night package. . . . some type of resort where they have golf and other activities.  

College sports tickets are great,  Night on the tow to the top restaurant in your area, (limo included). . . . most people won't treat themselves to an expensive restaurant.  

Other ideas, Maid service for a day, kid friendly restaurants, personal check to come to your house to cook for up to 6 people, that is awesome.  Good ideas.  Have fun.
