Holiday :-] I need your advice!!!!

How likely is it that my baggage is going to get lost. I'm flying with Thomas Cook to Tenerife. And is there a weight restriction on the luggage

If its a direct flight with a main holiday company. It is very unlikely you will lose your luggage. The weight restriction is usually 20 kg, unless you have paid more. Check on their website. www.thomascook.com

You are allowed hand luggage so anything you love dearly or can not do without, medication camera spare change of clothes etc keep in your hand luggage, there is always a chance that your bag can go missing but the majority get to their destinations.

HOLD BAGGAGE

During the booking process you now have the option to choose your luggage allowance. The standard luggage allowance is 15kg, of which there is no extra charge. You have the option here to increase to 20kg for a fee of £8.00/€11 per person per flight. Once your booking has been confirmed you cannot reduce the luggage allowance at the rate shown on the website. This offer can only be give during the booking process. If your booking has been confirmed and you wish to add on the extra 5kg you can do so via the website or the Customer Help Desk at the following fees:

Via the website - £12.00/€16 per person per flight

Via the customer help desk - £15.00/€20 per person per flight

Please note that extra luggage cannot be added to a booking via the website or customer help desk once you are inside 7 days of your first departure flight.

its anyones guess...you would think when you take a direct flight theres less chance of it going missing but it does happen.  just pack a spare change of clothes and any valuables in your hand luggage inc ase it does go walkies.

chances of luggage getting lost are slim, it should tell you on your tickets how much weight you are allowed or check with TC, if you are travelling with a partner/friend mix the cases up with yours and their clothes, that way if a case does go astray you still have something to wear until it is found...

Depends on who you are flying with, 18kgs 20kgs 22kgs,

Just goggle the people you booked with, and it will come up with your allowance, baggage rearly goes missing, so I shouldn't worry too much.

I recently went to Rhodes with Thomas Cook and there was a 15kg restriction. Tie something round the handles of your luggage so it's easier to identify. Enjoy your holiday :)

Very unlikely, Thomas Cook are pretty efficient from my past experiences, you've made a good choice.

As for your weight restriction it should be somewhere on your booking details how much you are allowed. When I flew with Thomas Cook last year I was allowed to pay more if I want more weight allowance too.
